The Deep Sea Peel is a non-acid, chemical-free peel that utilises manual exfoliation to resurface the skin, lifting away stubborn pigmentation and softening the look of acne scarring. This peel is stronger than the Timeless & Salicylic Peels and not recommended for sensitive skins. A Deep Sea Peel is a medium depth peel that will improve congestion, fine lines, scarring and all types of pigmentation including melasma.

How does it work?

The Deep Sea Peel is is a non-acid, chemical free peel that utilises manual exfoliation to resurface the skin, lifting away stubborn pigmentation (including melasma) and softening the appearance of acne scarring.

Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed before applying the Deep Sea Peel. The peel will be worked in to your skin and in sections, one at a time. This peel is manually massaged into the skin from 1 – 10 minutes depending on the skin and then removed. A balm is then applied.

This peel has a discomfort level of a 3-4/10 while the peel is being massaged into the skin

It is normal to experience redness, swelling and tingling similar to sunburn. Your skin will also peel for 3 -4 days after treatment. We do not recommend this treatment for sensitive skin.

We recommend 1-3 treatments depending on the condition of your skin and the concern being treated.

Pre-treatment: You will be prescribed a vitamin A and tyrosinase inhibitor to use 2 – 4 weeks prior to treatment by one of our clinicians to prepare your skin for peeling to avoid any adverse reactions. The use of SPF and sun compliance will be required. You may also be prescribed a tyrosinase inhibitor.

Your skin may be red, irritated, there will be heat and a slight throb similar to a sunburn. Recovery will take 4 -7 days with peeling post treatment.

Post Treatment: We will guide you on the use of homecare after your treatment to promote the healing phase of your skin.
